Neutral Safety Switch: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATION When closed, the
[1][2]park/neutral position switch connects circuit T41 to ground. The switch provides ground for the coil side of the starter motor relay. Circuit T41 splices to provide an input to cavity A6 of the Powertrain Control Module
(PCM). The park/neutral position switch is only used on vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission.
