Bell Housing: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove transmission.





2. Remove housing mounting bolts (Fig. 8).
3. Remove housing from transmission.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean transmission and housing mating surfaces.

CAUTION: Dirt/foreign material trapped between housing and transmission will cause misalignment. If severe enough clutch will drag and transmission will shift hard.

2. Install housing on the transmission and align mounting holes.
3. Install mounting bolts and tighten to 46 Nm (34 ft. lbs.).
4. Install transmission.
