NOTE: The cylinder head bolts should be examined BEFORE reuse. If the threads are necked down, the bolts must be replaced.





First Pass 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)
Second Pass 82 Nm (60 ft. lbs.)
Third Pass 82 Nm (60 ft. lbs.)

CAUTION: Do not use a torque wrench for this step.
Final Pass Turn An Additional 1/4 Turn


Cylinder Head Surface Variation Flat Within 0.1 mm (0.004 inch)






Intake Manifold Bolt 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.)






Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolt
M6 12 Nm (105 inch lbs.)
M8 28 Nm (250 inch lbs.)


Camshaft Sprocket Bolt 101 Nm (75 ft. lbs.)

Exhaust Manifold Bolt 20 Nm (175 inch lbs.).
