Tire Pressure Monitor Receiver / Transponder: Service and Repair

TRANSPONDER

REMOVAL

FRONT TRANSPONDER





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove the wheel well housing cover (2).





3. Remove the mounting screw (1) for the transponder (2).
4. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the transponder (2) from the vehicle.

REAR TRANSPONDER
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the mounting screw (1) for the transponder (4).
3. Disconnect the electrical connector (3) and remove the transponder (4) from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
FRONT TRANSPONDER





1. Install the transponder (2) to the vehicle and reconnect the electrical connector (3).
2. Install the mounting screw (1) for the transponder (2). Tighten to 4 Nm (35 inch lbs.).





3. Install the wheel well housing cover (2).
4. Lower the vehicle.

REAR TRANSPONDER





1. Install the transponder (4) to the vehicle and reconnect the electrical connector (3).
2. Install the mounting screw (1) for the transponder (4) 3 Nm (25 inch lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle.
