Installation






INSTALLATION




1. Install transmission on engine.
2. Tighten top transmission bolts to 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.).
3. Tighten two side bolts (1) to 68 Nm (50 ft. lbs.).
4. Tighten four bottom bolts (2) to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).




5. Install backup lamp (2) wiring connector (1).




6. Install clutch slave cylinder (2) and tighten mounting nuts (1) to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.).




7. Install transmission crossmember (1) and tighten bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Install transmission mount bolts and tighten to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). Install and tighten skid plate bolts.
8. Install transfer case, if equipped.
9. Install propeller shaft/shafts with reference marks aligned.




10. Remove fill plug (1) and fill transmission with lubricant.




11. Install shift lever (2) and tighten bolt to 4 Nm (33 in. lbs.).
