Oil Pressure Switch - Installation






INSTALLATION

Special Tools:






CAUTION: The oil pressure switch has tapered threads, over tightening could crack the engine block.





1. Install a new oil pressure switch using Oil Pressure Socket (1) or equivalent. Tighten switch to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
2. Connect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.





3. Position the A/C compressor (1) and install three mounting bolts (2). Tighten bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the accessory drive belt Serpentine Accessory Drive Belt - Installation.
5. Install the splash shield to the right side frame rail Splash Shield - Installation.
6. Install the front skid plate, if equipped.
7. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
