Compass And Mini-Trip Computer Module - Installation






INSTALLATION

WARNING: Disable the airbag system before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery (ground) cable, then wait two minutes for the airbag system capacitor to discharge before performing further diagnosis or service. This is the only sure way to disable the airbag system. Failure to follow these instructions may result in accidental airbag deployment and possible serious or fatal injury.





1. Position the Remote Compass Module (RCM) (2) onto the upper instrument panel cover.
2. Connect the RCM electrical connector (1).
3. Install the RCM engaging the clips (3) that secure the module to the upper instrument panel cover.
4. Install the passenger side airbag assembly, Passenger Air Bag - Installation.
5. Connect the battery negative cable.

NOTE: The Remote Compass Module (RCM) must be calibrated after installation. Adjustments for the appropriate procedure.
