CRANKSHAFT MAIN BEARING



Main Bearing Cap Bolts
Tighten the main bearing cap bolts 13 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
Again tighten the main bearing cap bolts 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
Rotate the bearing main cap bolts an additional 90°.





Main Bearing Cap Crossbolts
Using the sequence shown, tighten the crossbolts 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.)
Again, using the sequence shown, repeat the crossbolt tightening procedure

Bearing Clearance 0.023 - 0.051 mm (0.0009 - 0.002 in.)
