Distributor: Service and Repair

NOTE: On models equipped with airbag system, refer to Technician Safety Information for system disarming and arming procedures.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Prior to removal, scribe an alignment mark on distributor housing for installation purposes.
3. Rotate engine crankshaft until No. 1 piston is at top dead center of compression stroke. Do not rotate crankshaft with distributor removed from engine.

4. Remove distributor in numbered sequence shown in Fig. 4.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
