Engine - Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair


Removal

* NOTICE: The engine coolant temperature sensor is located on the left side of cylinder head.

Connector:





1. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
2. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Installation

ECT Sensor:





1. Install a new washer and the engine coolant temperature sensor.

Tightening torque: 18-22 ft-lb (25-29 N.m)

2. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
3. Start the engine and check for coolant leakage.
