Circuit Testing-Defroster Grid:

Inspection
1. Push the rear window defroster switch ON.
2. Connect the negative lead of a voltmeter to chassis ground and carefully touch the center of each grid line with the positive lead.
3. The typical voltage at the center of each grid line is approximately 6 Volts. If the meter indication is high, there is a break between the center and the grounded end of the grid line. If the indication is low, the break is between the center and positive side (See illustrations).
