Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Remove the air inlet duct from the throttle body.
2. Remove the engine coolant hoses, throttle and A/T control (if equipped) cable(s) from the throttle body.
3. Remove the two (2) nuts and two (2) bolts from the throttle body, and remove the throttle body.
4. Remove the IAC from the throttle body and discard the gasket.

Installation

1. Install a new IAC gasket, and install the IAC Valve.
2. Tightening torque: 24-36 in-lb (2.9-4.0 N.m)
3. Reinstall the throttle body and a new gasket.
4. Reconnect the engine coolant hoses, throttle and Apr control (if equipped) cable(s) to the throttle body.
5. Reconnect the air inlet duct.
