Idle Speed: Testing and Inspection
Idle Speed Apply parking brake.
1.
Check that the
idle speed is within specification.
Idle speed (Neutral or P range):
B6 DOHC with M/T - 700 ± 50 rpm
All others - 750 ± 50 rpm CAUTION: Check the
idle speed when the engine coolant fan is not in operation.
2.
If not within the specification, adjust the idle by turning the air adjusting screw.
