From 2/19/99 vehicle production, the Sportage passenger compartment fuse box (photo 1) has been changed. The new fuse box (photo 2) now incorporates a switchable memory fuse. Previously, the room fuse was removed during shipping, and reinstalled during PDI; with the new fuse box, the memory fuse is switched off by pulling the fuse holder up; it can be switched back on by pushing the fuse holder all the way in. Additional changes: the previously used standard fuses were changed to the "mini" style fuses, and the power window and heater fuses are the "slow blow" type.
