Expansion Valve: Description and Operation
Expansion ValveThe expansion valve allows the high pressure liquid to expand as it enters the evaporator. By allowing the liquid to expand, it will absorb more heat in the evaporator. The valve also meters the amount of
refrigerant entering the system to prevent the
evaporator core from freezing.
