Removal and Installation

Compressor

Removal
1. Discharge refrigeration system. Refer to operating instructions of your refrigerant recovery/recycling/charging station for proper procedures.




2. Remove drive belt as follows.

[1] Loosen bolt [A], nut [B] and nut [C]
[2] Loosen tension adjusting bolt [D]
[3] Remove drive bolt.

3. Disconnect magnetic clutch connector.
4. Remove high and low pressure hose.




5. Remove compressor mounting bolt.

Installation
1. Install compressor in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque
Bolt: 18 - 23 lb.ft (24 - 31 N.m, 2.4 - 3.6 kg.m)
Inlet and outlet bolt: 18-23 lb.ft (24 - 31 N.m, 2.4 - 3.6 kg.m)

2. Charge refrigeration system. Refer to operating instructions of your refrigerant recovery/recycling/charging station for proper procedures.

NOTE:
a. Immediately plug any open fittings to keep moisture out of system.
b. Apply new compressor oil to O-rings before connecting fittings.
c. Do not apply compressor oil to fittings.
d. Adjust belt tension to specification.
