Control Arm: Testing and Inspection
Inspection Ball joint rotation torque Check the following and replace the
ball joint if necessary. Attach SST (0K130 322 020) to the ball joint stud and measure the force required to cause continuous rotation using a pull scale.
Specified rotating torque:
17 - 30 inch lbs. (2.0 - 3.4 Nm, 20 - 35 kg-cm) Equivalent pull scale reading:
4.4 - 7.7 lbs. (20 - 34 N, 2.0 - 3.5 kg)
