SERVICE TIP:

If you are having trouble running evap test on 2002MY Spectra, the cause may be incorrect instructions in the Hi-Scan Pro. Until the scan tool software is updated, try this method.

1. Warm up engine to operating temperature (thermostat open).
2. Select the evap leakage test from the engine menu (engine idling).
3. Wait for test to initialize.
4. Immediately turn ignition off, then press enter twice. The test should run (takes from two to five minutes).
