TITLE: Evap System Test

SERVICE TIP:

If you are having trouble running evap test on 2002MY Spectra, the cause is incorrect instructions in the Hi-Scan Pro. Until we get the scan tool updated, try this method.

1. Warm up engine to operating temperature (thermostat open).
2. Select the evap leakage test from the engine menu (engine idling).
3. Wait for test to initialize.
4. Immediately turn ignition off, then press enter twice.

Test should run (takes from two to five minutes). We tried this several times and it works.
