Manual Reprogramming Procedure Using Hi-Scan Pro

1. With Reprogramming Card installed, turn ignition key to the "ON" position.





2. Turn the Hi-Scan Pro on and select option "16. RIO 1.6D COLD START ABILITY" and press the "ENTER" key.





3. Select option "02. RIO 1.6D COLD START ABILITY [ERROR]" and press the "ENTER" key.





4. Select option "01. RIO 1.6DOHC : 39110-2X131" and press the "ENTER" key.





5. At the prompt enter "2131" as the password for manual reprogramming and press the "ENTER" key.





6. Hi-Scan Pro will reprogram the ECU as shown.





7. When "REPROGRAMMING COMPLETED!" message is displayed, the reprogramming process is over.

8. Turn the ignition key off, wait 20 seconds and then start the engine to check for proper operation. Proceed to Step 10 under Automatic Reprogramming Procedure to erase ECU and TCU trouble codes.
