Oil Filter: Service and Repair

Replacing oil filter
1. Use a filter wrench to remove the oil filter.





2. Before installing the new oil filter on the engine, apply clean engine oil to the surface of the rubber gasket.
3. Tighten the oil filter to the specified torque.
Tightening torque Oil filter: 17 - 25 Nm (170 - 250 kg-cm, 12.54 - 18.44 ft. lbs.)
4. Fill the engine with the engine oil.
5. Start and run the engine and check for engine oil leaks.
6. After stopping the engine, check the oil level and add oil as much as necessary.
