Transaxle - Tester Connection

SOURCE: KIA Technician Times Volume 7 Issue 5, 2004

TITLE: Tranaxle Tester Connection

APPLIES TO: Optima, Sedona, Amanti or Spectra 2.0

SERVICE TIP:

When using a Kia Transaxle Tester on an Optima, Sedona, Amanti or Spectra 2.0, be aware of the fact that the point of attachment at the transaxle (solenoid pack connector) may be hidden under the vehicle's air box. The range switch connector, though readily visible in many cases, is not the correct attachment point for the transaxle tester. It may be necessary to reposition the air box to gain access to the solenoid pack connector. The photo shown below identifies the range switch and solenoid pack connectors on a Sedona/Amanti transaxle; the Optima/Spectra 2.0L configuration will be similar.iguration will be similar.
