Rear hatch damper stay

Removal
1. Open the rear hatch and suitably support.




2. Remove one upper ball stud nut from the damper stay.




3. Remove two lower retaining bolts from the damper stay.




4. Remove damper stay.

Installation

1. Position the damper stay.
2. install two lower retaining bolts on the damper stay.

Tighten two lower retaining bolts to 14 - 19 lb-ft (19 - 26 N.m, 1.9 - 2.6 kg.m).

3. Install one upper ball stud nut of the damper stay.

Tighten one upper ball stud nut to 12 - 17 lb.ft (16 - 23 N.m, 1.6 - 2.3 kg.m).

4. Close rear hatch.
