Pre-Silencer

Removal

Caution: A hot exhaust system can produce a serious burn.

1. Remove two nuts at forward flange of pre-silencer.
2. Remove two supports from pre-silencer.





3. Remove two nuts at main-silencer flange.
4. Remove two gaskets.

Installation
1. Lubricate inside of two pre-silencer hangers with a silicone lubricant.
2. Clean mating surfaces as required.
3. Install two new gaskets on bolts.
4. Install two nuts at main-silencer flange.
Tightening torque: 27.4 - 38.3 ft. lbs. (37.2 - 51.9 Nm, 3.8 - 5.3 kg-m)
5. Install pre-silencer in two hangers.
6. Install two nuts at forward flange of the pre-silencer.
Tightening torque: 27.4 - 38.3 ft. lbs. (37.2 - 51.9 Nm, 3.8 - 5.3 kg-m)
