Component Tests and General Diagnostics

General procedure

Before servicing
1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK.
2. Disconnect the battery.
3. Wait 10 minutes for the backup power to discharge completely.

After servicing
1. Reconnect the battery.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
3. Verify that airbag indicator illuminates for 4 - 6 seconds and then goes off.
