Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair

EXHAUST MANIFOLD





COMPONENT

REMOVAL





1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Disconnect the front oxygen sensor connector.





3. Remove the front muffler(A).
Tightening torque:
Nut (B): 39.2 - 58.8 Nm (4.0 - 6.0 kg-m, 28.9 - 43.4 ft. lbs.)
Bolt (c): 29.4 - 39.2 Nm (3.0 - 4.0 kg-m, 21.7 - 28.9 ft. lbs.)





4. Remove the heat protector.
Tightening torque: 16.7 - 21.6 Nm (1.7 - 2.2 kg-m, 12.3 - 15.9 ft. lbs.)





5. Remove the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter assembly.
Tightening torque: 42.2 - 53.9 Nm (4.3 - 5.5 kg-m, 31.1 - 39.8 ft. lbs.)
6. Installation is in the reverse order of removal
