Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair

DRIVE SHAFT OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the driveshaft from the transaxle.
2. Using a flat - tip screwdriver, remove the oil seal.

INSTALLATION
1. Apply a coating of gear oil to the lip of the oil seal.
Auto transaxle fluid: GENUINE ATF, DIAMOND ATF SP - III, SK ATF SP - III





2. Using special tool(09431 - 39000) or equivalent, tap the driveshaft oil seal into the transaxle.
3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
4. Refill the transaxle fluid.
5. Start engine and the transaxle range selector lever through all gear positions. Refill as necessary.
