DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY

1. Loosen the bolt (A) and then disconnect the universal joint assembly (B) with the steering column assembly.

Tightening torque Nm (kgf.m, lb-ft):
18 - 27 (1.8 - 2.7, 13 - 20)




2. Make a groove on the head of special bolts (A) by a punch.
3. Loosen the special bolt using a screw driver and then remove the key lock assembly (B) from the steering column assembly.




4. Reassembly is the reverse of the disassembly. When reassembling the key lock assembly, install the key lock assembly to the steering column and then tighten the new special bolts until its head is cut off.
