Steering Control Module: Service and Repair









Removal and installation

The removal and installation procedure is the same as that of conventional power steering system except for the solenoid valve components and EPS control module. Refer to the following figures.






REMOVAL

1. Remove crash pad plate (RH).
(1) Remove side mounting cover.
(2) Remove crash pad plate screw (4).




2. Remove under cover.
(1) Remove under cover.




(2) Remove under cover lamp.
3. Remove glove box cover.




(1) Remove glove box stoppers (2).
(2) Remove glove box damper wire.
(3) Remove glove box hinge pins (2).
4. Remove glove box housing.
(1) Remove glove box housing screws (5).




(2) Disconnect glove box housing connector.
5. Remove EPSCM.




6. Install in reverse order of removal.
