Repair Procedures

Removal

1. Disconnect the HO2S (Bank 1 / Sensor 1) connector (A) and the HO2S (Bank 1 / Sensor 2) connector (B) (SULEV only).

2. Remove the front muffler (A).
3. Remove the exhaust manifold stay bolt (B).




4. Remove the heat protector (A).




5. Remove the exhaust manifold (A) and gasket.






Installation

1. Install the exhaust manifold (A) with a new gasket.

Tightening torque :
39.2 - 44.1N.m (4.0 - 4.5kgf.m, 28.9 - 32.5lb-ft)





2. Install the heat protector (A).

Tightening torque :
7.8 - 11.8N.m (0.8 - 1.2kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7lb-ft)





3. Install the exhaust manifold stay bolt (B).

Tightening torque :
42.2 - 53.9N.m (4.3. ~ 5.5kgf.m, 31.1 - 39.8lb-ft)


4. Install the front muffler (A).

Tightening torque :
39.2 - 58.8N.m (4.0 - 6.0kgf.m, 28.9 - 43.4lb-ft)





5. Connect the HO2S (Bank 1 / Sensor 1) connector (A) and HO2S (Bank 1 / Sensor 2) connector (B) (SULEV only).
