Battery Temperature Sensor





Removal

WARNING:
This hybrid system uses a DC 270V voltage system. Be sure to follow safety instructions below. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in serious injury or electrocution .

1. Shut off the high voltage circuit .
2. Remove the high voltage front cover, rear cover, and high voltage battery pack cover .
3. Disconnect the BMS ECU connectors.
(1) Disconnect the battery temperature signal connector (A).




(2) Disconnect the battery voltage signal connectors (B).




4. Disconnect the battery module connectors (A).
5. Remove the battery temperature sensors (B).






Installation

WARNING:
This hybrid system uses a DC 270V voltage system. Be sure to follow safety instructions below. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in serious injury or electrocution .

1. Installation is reverse of removal.

Inspection

WARNING:
This hybrid system uses a DC 270V voltage system. Be sure to follow safety instructions below. Failure to follow safety instructions may result in serious injury or electrocution .

1. Shut off the high voltage circuit .
2. Connect the GDS to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
4. Check the battery temperature in GDS service data.




5. Disconnect the battery temperature signal connector (A).




6. Measure resistances of the temperature signal terminals , then compare the value with the GDS service data.
