Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

REMOVE
1. Remove evaporator case. Service and Repair
2. Remove the insulation from the evaporator and expansion valve hose connections.
3. Disconnect the hoses from the expansion valve and evaporator. Use a second wrench to support the hose adaptors and plug all the exposed connections immediately.
4. Unclamp the sensor coil from the evaporator outlet pipe.
5. Carefully unscrew the expansion valve from the evaporator. Plug the exposed connections immediately.
6. Remove the eight securing screws and detach the blower units from the evaporator case.
7. Remove the screws securing the upper evaporator/plenum casing to the evaporator and lower casing.
8. Remove the heater seal and lift off the upper casing.
9. Remove the insulation pad and the four screws securing the evaporator to the lower casing.
10. Withdraw the evaporator from the casing.

REFIT
1. Secure the evaporator to the lower casing.
2. Fit the insulation pad.
3. Refit evaporator case.
