Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

NOTE: If same idle air control valve is being refitted, clean sealing compounds from threads. Apply Loctite(r) 241, or equivalent, to threads of valve before reassembly.

Idle Air Control Valve:

REMOVE
1. Disconnect the battery negative lead.
2. Disconnect multi-plug.
3. Unscrew valve from rear plenum chamber.
4. Remove washer.

REFIT
1. Fit NEW sealing washer.
2. Fit valve to plenum and tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft lb).
3. Refit multi-plug.
4. Re-connect battery cable.
