Access Cover: Service and Repair

Engine Cover - 4.0L (12.30.50)

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the oil filler cap.

3. NOTE: Note the fitted position of the spacers.

Remove the engine cover.
^ Remove the 4 nuts.
^ Collect the spacers.







4. NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

Remove the acoustic pad.
^ Remove the 7 clips.
^ Remove the 4 mounts and compression limiters.

Installation

1. Install the acoustic pad.
^ Position and secure the clips.
^ Install the grommets.
^ Install the compression limiters.

2. Install the engine cover.
^ Install the spacers.
^ Tighten the nuts to 10 Nm (7 lb.ft).

3. Connect the battery ground cable.
