Cylinder Head Assembly


Torque Specifications

LH/RH camshaft cap bolts:

Working in a diagonal sequence, evenly and progressively tighten the bolts in 2 stages.
Stage 1 6 Nm (4 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.)





*Cylinder head bolts:

Stage 1 - M12 bolts 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2 - M 12 Bolts Further 80° Further 80°
Stage 3 - M12 bolts Further 80° Further 80°
M8 bolts 35 Nm (26 ft. lbs.)

Maximum permissible cylinder head warp 0.08 mm (0.003 inch)





*Exhaust system to exhaust manifold bolts 40 Nm (30 ft. lbs.)





*Intake manifold bolts 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)

LH and RH camshaft sprocket bolts:

Stage 1 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
Stage 2 Further 100° Further 100°

New nuts/bolt(s) must be fitted ** New Torx bolts must be fitted + Bolts/Torx bolts/studs must be tightened in sequence - Bolts must be tightened in a diagonal sequence commencing with the 2 center bearing caps # Lubricate threads of bolts with engine oil prior to fitting +* Damage to internal components will result if this torque is exceeded
