Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch: Service and Repair

Sensor - pressure - ABS modulator

Service Repair No - 70.65.71

Removal
1. Position cloth under modulator to absorb fluid spillage.

CAUTION: Brake fluid will damage paint finished surfaces. If spilled, immediately remove fluid and clean area with water.





2. Disconnect brake pipe from modulator to access pressure sensor.

CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, ensure the immediate area around joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open connections to prevent contamination.

3. Disconnect multiplug from pressure sensor and remove sensor.

Installation
1. Clean pressure sensor threads.
2. Fit pressure sensor to ABS modulator and tighten to 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect multiplug to pressure sensor.
4. Connect brake pipe to modulator and tighten union to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
5. Bleed brakes.
6. To ensure correct operation, the ABS system MUST be tested using T4.
