Front Wheel Speed Sensor

Service Repair No - 70.65.30

Removal

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle that is supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle with safety stands.

1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Remove wheel and tire.
3. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
^ Open the electrical connector housing
^ Release the electrical connector from the clip





4. Release the front wheel speed sensor wiring harness.





5. Remove the front wheel speed sensor
^ Release the clip
^ Remove the bolt





Installation
1. Install the front wheel speed sensor
^ Apply anti-sieze compound to the wheel speed sensor
^ Tighten the bolt to 8 Nm (6 ft. lbs.)
^ Secure the clip
2. Secure the front wheel speed sensor wiring harness
^ Connect the front wheel speed sensor electrical connector
^ Secure the electrical connector in the clip
^ Close the electrical connector housing
3. Install the wheel and tire
4. Using a Land Rover approved diagnostic system, clear the fault codes from the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module.
