Navigation Display: Service and Repair



Navigation System Display Module

Service Repair No - 86.53.20


Removal

CAUTION: After switching of the ignition, wait for 2 minutes before disconnecting the battery. Failure to wait for 2 minutes will damage the navigation computer.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the audio unit side trim panels.
^ Release the 6 clips.





3. Remove the instrument panel center reinforcement trim panel.
^ Release the 3 clips.
^ Repeat the above procedure for the other side.





4. Remove the center face level vent.
^ Remove the 2 Torx screws.
^ Repeat the above procedure for the other side.





CAUTION: Cover fibre optic cable connectors to minimise dust ingress and avoid bending the cables in a radius of less than 30 mm.

5. Remove the navigation system display module.
^ Remove the 4 screws.
^ Disconnect the fibre optic connector.
^ Disconnect the 2 electrical connectors.





Installation
1. Install the navigation system display module.
^ Connect the electrical connectors.
^ Connect the fibre optic connector.
^ Tighten the screws.
2. Install the center face level vents.
^ Tighten the Torx screws.
3. Install the instrument panel center reinforcement trim panels.
^ Secure the clips.
4. Install the audio unit side trim panels.
^ Secure the clips.
5. Connect the battery ground cable.
