Transfer Case Fluid Level Check

CAUTION: The fluid filler plug is not a fluid level plug.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1 Raise the vehicle on a lift.
2 Remove the engine undershield.

CAUTION: Make sure that the area around the component is clean and free of foreign material.

CAUTION: The fluid filler plug is not a fluid level plug.
3 Top-up the transfer case with recommended fluid, until the fluid is level with bottom of filler plug hole. Remove 120 ml for correct fluid capacity as shown in Specification section.

CAUTION: Replace the washer.
4 Install the fluid filler plug.
Torque to: 35 Nm
5 Install the engine undershield.
