Wiper Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Inspect switch continuity as follows:
a. Remove switch as described under COMBINATION SWITCH.

b. Test continuity following the chart in Fig. 20. If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.

Fig. 21 Wiper & Washer Switch Resistance Test Chart:

2. Inspect switch resistance by following Fig. 21. If resistance is not as specified, replace switch.
3. Inspect switch circuit as follows:
a. Disconnect switch and relay connectors.

b. Follow the chart in Fig. 22 and inspect wiring on wiring harness side of the connectors.
c. If circuit is not as specified, inspect other portions of the circuit.
