Install the Terminal Into the Female Connector Body

5. INSTALL THE TERMINAL INTO THE FEMALE CONNECTOR BODY.

Hint: Make sure the terminal is correctly positioned. Insert the terminal until the locking clips lock firmly.

a) Push the terminal through the seal packing into the connector until you hear a "click".

b) Pull the terminal back gently to check whether it is locked correctly.

Note: ^ Do not remove the terminal packing.
^ When inserting the terminal, avoid scratching, cutting, or floating the terminal packing.
^ If the terminal cannot be inserted easily, check the terminal and connector for the proper direction of installation.
^ If the terminal locking clip does not lock firmly, the terminal retainer will not lock in the full position.
