ECU Pin-Out Tests

The fuel injection circuit can be checked by measuring the resistance and voltage at the wiring connectors of the ECM.
1. Disconnect connectors from ECM, then remove locks from connectors.
2. Reconnect connectors to ECM.
3. Tester probes should be inserted into wiring connector from wiring side.
4. Inspect voltage of ECM, noting the following:
a. Perform all voltage measurements with connectors connected.
b. Verify battery voltage is 11 volts or more with ignition switch On.
c. Refer to Fig. 44, for terminals to be tested and specifications.

5. Inspect resistance of ECM, noting the following:
a. Disconnect connectors from ECM.
b. Measure resistance at connector terminals. Do not touch ECM terminals.
c. Refer to Fig. 45, for terminals to be tested and specifications.

6. Install locks onto connectors, then connect connectors to ECM.
