Wheel Speed Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
2. Using tool No. 09843-18020, connect check terminals Ts and E1.
3. Start engine.
4. Ensure ABS warning light blinks, if light does not, ABS warning light circuit fault is indicated.
5. Drive vehicle straight forward faster than 50 mph for several seconds.
6. Stop vehicle.
7. Using tool No. 09843-18020, connect check terminals Tc and E1.

8. Read number of flashes, Fig. 21, of the anti-lock warning light and refer to Fig. 18, for diagnostic (trouble) code identification.
9. If every sensor is normal, the warning light will go On for .25 second and Off for .25 second. If two or more codes are identified at the same time, the lowest numbered code will be displayed first.
