Disconnect the Terminal From the Female Connector

4. DISCONNECT THE TERMINAL FROM THE FEMALE CONNECTOR.

a) Insert special tool into the connector in the direction shown in Figure 5.

Note: The special tool should never be inserted into the terminal.

b) Move and hold the locking clip in the unlock position.

Note: Do not apply excessive force to the terminal, and never pry on the terminal with the special tool.

c) Carefully remove the terminal from the connector by pulling the wire toward the rear of the connector.

Note: ^ Do not remove the terminal packing when removing the terminal.
^ Do not use excessive force.
^ If the terminal cannot be easily removed, repeat steps a) -> c).
