Spark Plug: Service and Repair

PROCEDURE

Removal




1. Remove Throttle Body.
2. Remove No. 3 timing belt cover.
3. Remove cylinder head rear cover.





4. DIsconnect high-tension cords from Spark Plugs

NOTE: Disconnect the high - tension cords at the rubber boot. Do not pull on the high-tension cords. Pulling on or bending the cords may damage the conductor inside.





5. Using a 16 mm plug wrench, remove the 6 Spark Plugs.

Assembly

1. Reinstall Spark Plugs using a 16 mm plug wrench.

Torque: 18 Nm (13 ft lb)

2. Reconnect high-tension cords to Spark Plugs.
3. Reinstall cylinder head rear cover.
4. Reinstall No. 3 timing belt cover.
5. Reinstall Throttle Body.
