Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Removal of Condenser1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER
2. REMOVE TWO ELECTRIC FANS
3. REMOVE CENTER BRACE AND TWO HORNS
4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT IN REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
5. REMOVE LIQUID TUBE AND DISCHARGE TUBE
Remove the two bolts and both tubes.
NOTICE: To prevent the intrusion of moisture or dirt, caps should be placed on hose or tube ends immediately.
6. REMOVE SUCTION TUBE
NOTICE: To prevent the intrusion of moisture or dirt, caps should be placed on hose or tube ends immediately.
7. REMOVE CONDENSER
Remove the two nuts and the condenser.
Installation of Condenser
1. INSTALL CONDENSER
Install the condenser with the two nuts.
2. INSTALL SUCTION TUBE
Specified torque: 32 N.m (32 kgf.cm, 24 ft.lbf)
NOTICE: Do not remove the caps until the tube is installed.
3. INSTALL DISCHARGE TUBE AND LIQUID TUBE
Install both tubes with the two bolts.
Specified torque: 10 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf)
NOTICE: Do not remove the caps until the tube is installed.
4. IF CONDENSER WAS REPLACED, ADD COMPRESSOR OIL TO COMPRESSOR
ADD 35 - 55 cc (1.2 - 1.9 ft. oz. )
Compressor oil:
ND OIL 8
5. EVACUATE AIR IN REFRIGERATION SYSTEM AND CHARGE WITH REFRIGERANT
Specified amount: 950 g (2.1 lb)
6. INSPECT FOR LEAKAGE OF REFRIGERANT
Using a gas leak tester, check for leakage of refrigerant.
7. INSTALL TWO HORNS AND CENTER BRACE
8. INSTALL TWO ELECTRIC FANS
9. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER
