1. Disconnect battery ground cable and disable airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. Recover refrigerant as described in HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING.
3. Remove cruise actuator and equalizer tube from EPR, Fig. 39.
4. Remove liquid tube and suction tube from cooling unit, Fig. 40.
5. Remove cover plate, then cap open fittings immediately.
6. Remove drain hose clamp from front side member.
7. Remove heater to register No. 4 and 5 ducts.
8. Remove mirror control ECU and connector bracket, Fig. 41.
9. Disconnect wiring harness from cooling and blower unit.
10. Remove cooling unit attaching nuts and screws, then the cooling and blower unit, Fig. 42.
11. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque liquid and suction tubes to 7 ft.lbs.
b. Torque equalizer tube to EPR to 7 ft.lbs.
c. If evaporator was replaced, add 1.4-1.7 fl. oz. of oil to compressor.
d. Evacuate and charge air conditioning system.
