Exhaust Gas Recirculation: Testing and Inspection

PROCEDURE

1. Using jumper, connect terminals TE1 and E1 of the data link connector 1.

2. Keep the engine at 3,500 rpm.
3. Set the transmission shift lever to the N" position.

4. Remove the jumper from the data link connector 1.

5. Check whether the engine rpm increases 100 - 300 rpm under the following conditions:

Engine coolant tempertaure;
- Below 53°C (127°F) No increase
- Above 55°C (131°F) Increases
