Speed Sensor Diagnostic System

1. Turn ignition switch to Off position.
2. Using tool No. 09843-18020, or equivalent, connect check terminals Ts and E1.
3. Start engine.
4. Ensure ABS warning light blinks, if light does not, ABS warning light circuit fault is indicated.
5. Drive vehicle straight forward faster than 28 mph for several seconds.
6. Stop vehicle.
7. Using diagnostic tool No. 09843-18020, or equivalent, connect check terminals Tc and E1.
8. Read number of flashes of anti-lock warning light, Fig. 190, and refer to Fig. 191 for diagnostic trouble code identification.
9. If every sensor is normal, the warning light will go On for .25 second and Off for .25 second. If two or more diagnostic trouble codes are identified at the same time, the lowest numbered diagnostic trouble code will be displayed first.
