Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal





1. Disconnect negative (-) terminal cable from battery.

CAUTION: Work must be started after 90 seconds from the time the Ignition switch Is turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.





2. Remove Camshaft Position Sensor.
- Disconnect the Camshaft Position Sensor connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and Camshaft Position Sensor.

Installation

1. Install Camshaft Position Sensor with the 2 bolts.

Torque: 8 Nm (69 in lb)

2. Reconnect the Camshaft Position Sensor connector.
3. Reinstall the negative (-) terminal cable to battery.
